Mahesh Babu recently announced that Jagapathi Babu would play an important role in his upcoming movie Sarileru Neekevvaru. Within a few days, a report on Times of India and Pinkvilla then went on to claim that the actor had walked out of the film due to creative differences with the makers.

The reports stated that Mahesh Babu and producer of Sarileru Neekevvaru, Dil Raju, were upset with Jagapathi Babu because he did not support their movie Maharshi after a tiff. However a source recently claimed that Jagapathi Babu was thrown out of the film after Prakash Raj pressurized the makers to take him in the role instead.

“Few days ago, Prakash Raj requested his good friend and producer Dil Raju to offer him a character in Sarileru Neekevvaru. Word is that he even requested Mahesh Babu about it, calling them several times saying he wanted to do something in this film,” a source told Deccan Chronicle.

“The team had finalised all the artists at the pre-production stage itself, and there was nothing left for Prakash Raj. But as Prakash inserted a lot of pressure on Dil Raju and Mahesh who further requested JB to drop out from the film,” added the source.

Jagapathi Babu, according to reports, had rejected a few good films in Kannada and Tamil in order to act in Sarileru Neekevvaru. The movie is expected to release on the occasion of Sankranti 2020.
