Did Deepika Padukone DECLINE the offer to work in Majid Majidi's film?

A lot has been said about Deepika Padukone's role in Majid Majidi's next since the actress went for a look test of the film. The movie went on floors last month and marks the debut of Shahid Kapoor's brother Ishaan Khatter. 

While she doesn't feature in the said Majid Majidi film, certain reports doing the rounds claim that Deepika, as a respect to the director did the look test of the film. However even when she was doing the look test she had apparently made it clear that she would say yes to the film only once she had heard or read the final draft of the script. 

Reportedly, Deepika Padukone didn't like what she heard as the final draft. It wasn't something she was looking for at that stage of her career, hence she respectfully decided not to be part of the project. 

Meanwhile, we have seen Deepika deliver some extraordinary and strong performances in films like Piku, Bajirao Mastani, and shining in her debut in the big ticket Hollywood franchise film, xXx: Return of Xander Cage. Next she will be seen playing Padmavati in Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming flick.
