The third installment of the Dhoom series, Dhoom 3, has entered the Chinese top ten chart.
Directed by Vijay Krishna Acharya and produced by Aditya Chopra, this Yash Chopra offering was the most expensive Bollywood movie to be released in the IMAX motion picture film format with Dolby Atmos surround sound.
Starring Aamir Khan, Katrina Kaif, Abhishek Bachchan and Uday Chopra, Dhoom 3, was reportedly opened on 2,000 screens in 400 Chinese cities. After winning over the Turkish box office, it became the only Indian film to get into the Turkish Top 10. The film stands at number 9 out of 10, according to a statement from the film's production house.
Breaking another record in Bollywood, Dhoom 3 (released on July 25) became the first Indian film to get widest release ever in China. The movie made $1.35 million in a three-day weekend, beating the local Chinese romance 'No Zuo No Die'.
Dhoom 3 is all set to become the biggest Indian film in China with a reported weekend admissions at 267,000.
