Desperate Housewives star Drea de Matteo set to play villain on 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

'Desperate Housewives' star, Drea de Matteo, will play villain on Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.'

The 43-year-old will play Karla Gaye Gideo, a gifted woman with a grudge to bear against S.H.I.E.L.D. and her character joins forces with Skye's father, Cal, Deadline.com reported.

Though Kayla Gaye Gideo is the same name of a character in Daredevil: Redemption, it is said to be a different character.

Matteo won an Emmy for Outstanding Supporting Actress in Drama Series for her role in The Sopranos, as Adriana La Cerva. She has also starred in series such as “Sons of Anarchy,” “Desperate Housewives,” and “Joey.”

Marvel's 'Agents of S.H.I.E.L.D.' is produced by Marvel Television and ABC Studios.
