Deepika Padukone to make her singing debut with 'Tamasha'

After singers decided to turn actors, Bollywood actors have decided to take up the mic. Following Salman Khan, Alia Bhatt, Shraddha Kapoor and Priyanka Chopra's footsteps is our very own Deepika Padukone. Yes, she is going to sing for her next film- Imtiaz Ali's Tamasha starring Ranbir Kapoor.

Imtiaz Ali and AR Rahman's association goes a long way and last year, Rahman made Alia take up the mic for Highway and the result was wonderful. And now, when the duo are teaming up again for Tamasha, the music maestro has found another actress to lend her voice to one of his songs- Deepika Padukone! Deepika attended one of the music sessions with Rahman and Imtiaz and it seems that the actress has given her nod to singing a song for Tamasha.

Tamasha starring Ranbir and Deepika will release sometime next year and will essentially be a travel story about a nautanki group that travels across cities.
