Deepika Padukone to star in an item number in 'Raabta'!

Thanks to the jolly good bonds that the Piku actress shares with producer Dinesh Vijan, her fans will be able to see her in the Sushant Singh Rajput and Kriti Sanon-starrer Raabta.

According to Times of India, a source close to the development revealed, "Deepika is Dinesh's lucky mascot. When he shared the idea with her, she immediately came on board."

It was further reported that the song will be composed by Pritam and will be a fun and peppy number. The dance sequence is supposed to be shot on June 1 in Budapest for which the rehearsals will begin soon.

Deepika has worked with Dinesh previously in movies like Love Aaj Kal, Cocktail and Finding Fanny. Her last item number for the movie Dum Maaro Dum ruled the chartbusters back in 2011.

Meanwhile, rumours are abuzz that the Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani actress may team up with beau Ranveer Singh for the third consecutive time, for Sanjay Leela Bhansali's upcoming period drama Padmavati. 

Raabta is slated to hit the theatres in February 2017.
