Aamir Khan’s 'Dangal' has a date in December!

There has been speculation that Aamir Khan has planned to push Dangal ahead because of its similarities with Salman Khan’s Sultan. But we can now confirm that is not true.

Informs a source, “Aamir has no plans to shift the release date of Dangal to 2017. 

His film is definitely releasing in December.” But there’s an interesting development. Adds the source, “The release date is not December 23 now. 

Aamir and UTV plan to release Dangal a week ahead on December 16. An official announcement will be made soon.”

The source further adds, “Releasing the film a week before will ensure the film has three weeks of free run till the second week of January, much like it did with PK and Dhoom:3.” 

Says an insider, “It makes sense. After all, releasing the film a week ahead did help both Dhoom:3 and PK.” Will Dangal also be the biggest film of the year? Let’s wait and watch.
