David Lynch's 'Twin Peaks' series set to hit TV screens after 25 year hiatus

David Lynch recently took to Twitter posting about a teaser of the 90's cult TV series Twin Peaks series, stirring excitement among his fans hoping for its come-back after 25 years.

The 68-year-old director said on the micro-blogging site that the series was happening again, the BBC reported.

The third series of this groundbreaking television phenomenon, which won Golden Globe and Peabody Award will return as a new limited series on Showtime in 2016.
 

 

Lynch is the creator of Twin Peaks. Kyle MacLachlan played Special Agent Dale Cooper, an FBI agent who got drawn into the seedy and surreal town of Twin Peaks as he investigated the mysterious death of Laura Palmer, teenage beauty queen.
