The new poster shines the spotlight on Felicity Jones as her character Jyn Erso dominates the poster. Darth Vader lurks in the background along with the Death Star, with the blueprint of the galactic weapon superimposed on Jones' face.
The poster also features the rest of the cast— Diego Luna, Ben Mendelsohn, Donnie Yen, Alan Tudyk, Riz Ahmed, Jiang Wen and Forest Whitaker, but with no sign of Mads Mikkelsen.
Below the characters, one can see stormtroopers in action.
Episode IV of Star Wars began with Princess Leia smuggling out the blueprint of the weapon on R2D2, so that rebels could figure out a way to disable it. Rogue One will feature the events right before Star Wars: A New Hope as the rebel alliance plans to steal the blueprint of the Death Star.
