Confirmed: This will be Deepika Padukone's next Bollywood film and it's a hat-trick!

Deepika Padukone's last release was Bajirao Mastani and she is yet to start her next Hindi film. All this while, Dippy was busy wrapping up her first Hollywood venture xXx: The Return of Xander Cage. Now, we can confirm that she has indeed signed her next film.

Talking to us, she had just revealed, "I have already signed my next film and I begin shoot this September." Which film is it? Sanjay Leela Bhansali's Padmavati. 

An insider source confirms the development, "Bhansali and Deepika are coming together for a third time, after Ram Leela and Bajirao Mastani. Sanjay has yet again mounted Padmavati on a huge canvas and wanted Deepika for the lead role. She has a brilliant role and the film will mostly revolve around her character, although it also stars Ranveer Singh."

But before his muse, Sanjay had approached another heroine. "He had thought of Priyanka Chopra too but after she could not give her dates, it was DP who bagged the offer." 

So for all those waiting to watch Deepika sizzle on screen again, here's good news!
