Actress Chitrangada Singh has denied rumours that claim she and her golfer husband Jyoti Randhawa are filing for a divorce by mutual consent.

On Friday, there were claims that Chitrangada and Jyoti who have been married for 12 years went to a Gurgaon court to attend a hearing.

The 37-year-old actress confirmed to a news agency that she had gone to the Gurgaon court with her husband but claimed it was for an internal settlement of a property dispute.

Media reports had said that Chitrangada and 41-year-old Jyoti Randhawa had filed a divorce plea in the family court following irreconcilable differences between the couple.

The reports also suggested that the Desi Boyz actress was facing a tough time meeting her commitments in Mumbai and looking after their five-year-old son Zorawar.

The golfer wanted his wife, Chitrangada to spend more time with their son as he is away for a considerable part of the year for his golf tournaments, the reports over the weekend in various media agencies claimed.

When contacted by a news agency, Chitrangada dismissed speculation over her divorce as she said, "It is not true. We were at the court for the property dispute, an internal settlement. And there were speculations because of that."

A source close to the actress and her family claimed that they were deeply disturbed over constant speculation about her marriage.

Chitrangada and Randhawa's visit to the court has been blown out of proportion and she too has not been contacted to verify the news, the source told a local newspaper.

Randhawa is a golf player who was ranked in the top 100 of the Official World Golf Ranking several times between 2004 and 2009.

Chitrangada has acted in films like Hazaaron Khwaishein Aisi, Desi Boyz, and Inkaar.
