Bollywood superstar Shah Rukh Khan is laughing all the way to the bank as his latest movie Chennai Express has crossed the Rs100-crore mark in its first weekend, a feat that no other film has achieved so far.
Trade analyst Taran Adarsh tweeted:

The action comedy directed by Rohit Shetty was made at a budget of Rs70 crore. According to reports, the film has done well not just nationally, but also abroad.

The film, co-produced by SRK’s Red Chillies Entertainment and UTV Motion Pictures, will also be screened at a charity event in Kathmandu on Monday. The funds raised at the event will go to flood victims in Nepal through Mumbai-based NGO Project Crayon.
