This movie will be the first solo outing for the superhero played by Chadwick Boseman.
Filming for Marvel's Black Panther has already begun in Atlanta and the movie is scheduled to release on February 16, 2018.
But as other Marvel movies in the pipeline, like Guardians of the Galaxy, Spider-Man: Homecoming, Thor: Ragnarok, and Avengers: Infinity Wars are giving a sneak peek into what is going on on the sets, Black Panther added itself to the list by unveiling the first concept art for the movie.
The first image shows T'Challa aka Black Panther's mystique figure, with claws out, amidst ruins of possibly some ancient structure in Wakanda, his native place.
In the next image, Black Panther is facing the entrance of a similar ancient establishment adorned with indigenous symbols. If you pay close attention, you can see a few spectators watching Black Panther move.
Black Panther's storyline picks up after the events of Captain America: Civil War. T'Challa returns home to the nation of Wakanda as their king and the new Black Panther. Wakanda, an isolated yet technologically advanced nation, becomes the centre stage of chaos when T'Chall is drawn into a conflict that will test his leadership as a king and ability as the Black Panther.
Directed by Ryan Coogler of Creed, the movie will see Chadwick Boseman return as the titular character. Speaking of returning characters, Andy Serkis who played Ulysses Klaue in Avengers: Age of Ultron and Martin Freeman who played Everett K Ross is Captain America: Civil War will also reprise their respective roles.
Angela Bassett, Michael B Jordan, Sterling K Brown, Florence Kasumba, Lupita Nyong'o, Danai Gurira, Daniel Kaluuya, Winston Duke, and Letitia Wright will join the Marvel Cinematic Universe for the first time with this movie.
