Lionsgate has acquired worldwide rights to the Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen comedy "Flarsky" and will release it under its Summit Entertainment label.

Jonathan Levine will direct the film about an unemployed journalist who pursues his childhood crush, according to The Hollywood Reporter.

"We are thrilled to be in business with Point Grey Pictures, Denver and Delilah Films and Good Universe on 'Flarsky'," said Jason Constantine, president, acquisitions and co-production for Lionsgate.

"Jonathan Levine is the perfect director to bring Dan Sterling's hysterical screenplay to the big screen with our two very talented stars, Charlize Theron and Seth Rogen," he added.

The story centers on an unemployed journalist (Rogen), battered by his own misfortune and self-destructive ways, who endeavors to pursue his childhood crush and babysitter who now happens to be one of the most powerful and unattainable women in the world (Theron).
