The Hairspray star was admitted to rehab after a series of bizarre incidents in 2013 where she posted Twitter rants, attacks on fellow celebrities, and came up with lawsuit threats. She received a formal diagnosis of schizophrenia, when she did her stint at The Canyon in Malibu – a secluded 120-acre ranch that generally treats substance abuse.
Ben had checked himself into Malibu's alcohol and drug rehabilitation center, Promises, in 2001. This was the same live-in rehab center where Robert Downey Jr underwent treatment. In fact it was Charlie Sheen, who helped to arrange a room for him. His rep at the time had said, "Ben is a self-aware and smart man who has decided that a fuller life awaits him without alcohol. He has chosen to seek out professional assistance and is committed to travelling a healthier road with the support of his family, friends and fans."
The pop star had a very public meltdown in 2007, where she did bizarre things like shaved her head bald, attacked a paparazzo's car and had a very bitter split with ex Kevin Federline. She was spotted for months partying in Los Angeles and Las Vegas till late in the night. Post her month-long rehab program, Britney slowly got back on her feet and tried to revive her career.
Catherine Zeta-Jones surprised everyone when she admitted to having bipolar II disorder in 2011 around the same time her husband Michael Douglas had cancer. The Chicago star checked into a treatment facility for the same only to reenter again in 2013 for another 30-day program. The second stint was said to be a proactive measure.
In 2011, Charlie had a huge meltdown. The star was said to have major anger issues and was spotted partying with porn stars. He soon had to stop shooting for his show Two and a Half Men and checked into rehab. He also earlier sentenced to 30 days in a rehabilitation center, 30 days of probation and 36 hours of anger management following reports that he pulled a knife on his then wife Brooke Mueller Sheen.
Eva entered rehab in 2008 for substance abuse, but the exact reason was never known. The Hitch star checked into Utah's Cirque Lodge and was in the facility for several weeks. Some insiders said it was drug use while other called her a closet drinker. Her rep had said then, "Eva has been working hard for the past year and made a positive decision to take some much-needed time off to proactively attend to some personal issues that, while not critical, she felt deserved some outside professional support. Out of respect for Eva's privacy, we do not wish to discuss further details."

He was also broke and in and out of prison very often due to his love for alcohol. In fact it was not until 2003, that he turned his life around.
