Here she goes!

For the first red carpet appearance at Cannes 2017, Sonam Kapoor made the perfect choice with custom-made Elie Saab Haute Couture gown. Gilded in silver appliques inspired by coral reef design, the Millennial pink gown just feels spot on.

Ms Kapoor's love for capes and trains shows no sign of fading away. At Cannes 2016, she walked the red carpet in Ralph & Russo outfits which had yards of cape and/or train attached. This time around too, the train is attached to the waist, paired with a peach belt to accentuate her her toned figure. In addition, the trains attached to the sleeves make for an interesting addition.

For jewellery, Ms Kapoor chose customised earrings and haath-phool designed by her sister-cum-stylist-cum-business-partner-cum-co-designer-of-their-brand-Rheason, Rhea Kapoor.

Ms Kapoor kept the makeup leaning towards the fresh summer tones of peach and rose. Her swept up in a loose bun only added to the soft look.

The L'Orealista will walk the red carpet with Thai actress Araya Hargate and American actress Andie MacDowell.

Upon her arrival at Cannes on Saturday, Ms Kapoor chose a Toronto-based label Nor Black Nor White to give a contemporary twist to the good ole saree.

Since Ms Kapoor is known to be experimental and always on point with her attires, her stay at the French Riviera shall provide more fodder to the fashion police and fans alike.
