Salman Khan's Kick which released last Friday, opened to a massive response and created history by collecting a whopping sum of Rs 164.06 crore in India after its first week run at the box office. It was also the biggest opener in Pakistan collecting about Rs 20.08 million on its first day.

Inching closer to the coveted Rs 200 crore mark, it would be a first for Salman. Kick collected a humongous Rs 15.40 crore on Thursday taking its domestic total to Rs 164.06 crore. Earlier, Salman's Jai Ho opened to a lukewarm response post which the industry had started questioning Salman's star power. But with Kick going really strong, Salman has once again proved that he is the ultimate ruler at the box office.

With the first week collections already tabulated, Salman's Kick has overtaken Shah Rukh Khan's Eid release from last year - Chennai Express. Now it needs to be seen if Salman can surpass his own film- Ek Tha Tiger's lifetime collections. With Rs 200 crore looking a cakewalk from here onwards, it would not be surprising if Kick challenges the lifetime collections of Chennai Express, Krrish 3 or a Dhoom 3 as well! And with no big release in the pipeline till Akshay Kumar's Entertainment next Friday, Salman's Kick is expected to have a smooth run for another week.
