No, we're not talking about some newly launched young-adult fiction but Ekta Kapoor's latest web series titled Broken But Beautiful, the trailers of which recently dropped and are slowly catching the fancy of the netizens. Going by the looks of the two promos, Broken But Beautiful seems like a breath of fresh air amidst a sudden barrage of heartland web shows or the thriller/horrex genre that the web space has been offering the viewers in the recent past.
Why do we say so? Well, rarely do we find the makers exploring the untapped space within the genre of love stories or romance. After all, so much has been said, written and watched about the conecpt of 'love' that the question of what can one do to surprise the audience in a love story remains unanswered, and Broken But Beautiful seems to be doing just that - providing a completely different answer this time!
We have previously watched stories of unrequited love, but this one appears to stand out owing to its underlying theme of how two broken souls fins love once again in the broken pieces of the heart of each other. The endearing tale of Veer (Vikrant Massey) and Sameera (Harleen Sethi) is a unique love story that will definitely find place in your heart. After all, we all are familiar with the said emotion and have gone through the same at some point or the other in our lives right?
The trailers give us glimpses of Veer, who's distraught after his wife Alina’s death and often talks to her, leading to many calling him crazy, while Sameera is still hanging on to her ex-lover Karthik and is just not able to move on. A chance meeting of the two paves the way for the beginning of a new friendship and a detachment from their wrecked past. The series will bring to light how these two broken hearts finally end up mending each other and giving love a second chance. Love, sure, is a universal emotion but the language of a broken heart is best understood by another and the series beautifully brings the idea alive!

The trailers of the series have generated quite a buzz and it looks pretty promising as well. Another plus is the soul stirring music and sound tracks of the series. Yeh Kya Hua is already a favourite and is currently on loop! Broken But Beautiful will start streaming on ALT Balaji from November 27 and will have 11 episodes.
