When Breaking Bad ended, it left a void in millions of hearts. Just before the entire series was to be released on DVD, a clip rumoured to be the alternate ending to the series has surfaced on YouTube.

The video shows Walter White, in a scene from the show, and quickly cuts to him waking up hysterically from a nightmare. He starts rambling on to the woman lying next to him in bed, about Meth labs, shaving his head, killing people and a young partner who kept using the 'b' word.

The woman next to him, tries to calm him down and says "Oh, I knew this was going to happen, you grow a beard and all of a sudden you think you're Osama bin Laden."

Fans of Cranston's earlier work will recognise the woman, as Jane Kaczmarek, the actress who played his wife, Lois in Bryan Craston's other hit show, Malcolm in the Middle.

Various rumours and popular theoretical spoilers popped up before the much-awaited Breaking Bad finale. Many people thought jokingly that it would be brilliant if the show ended with Walter White (Bryan Cranston) going into witness protection and that would be where he begins his life as Hal, the character Cranston portrayed in Malcolm in the Middle.

The alternate ending video also seems to take its inspiration from the 1980's sitcom Newhart, which also had a dream sequence alternate ending.

Here's the leaked clip (Watch the entire clip to figure out what's real and what's not):
