Box Office Update: 'Kya Kool Hai Hum 3' takes better opening than 'Airlift'!

The big day has arrived. After the Dilwale versus Bajirao Mastani clash last year on December 18, we are gearing up for the first clash of the year. Between Akshay Kumar’s Airlift and Tusshar Kapoor’s Kya Kool Hai Hum 3. And the morning shows have given a clear indication of which films is leading by a small margin.

While the exact division of screens has still not been stated, both Airlift and KKHH 3 have got a fair chance at the ticket windows, with not much of a difference in its screen count. But after the morning shows, the scene seems a little clearer. The sex comedy has opened to a better occupancy in the morning shows than the patriotic thriller.

Given that Airlift is a thriller, it was always certain that it’s made for a select target audience. Despite being critically acclaimed for its stellar performances, what needs to be seen now is how Akshay Kumar’s film grows at the ticket windows. As for KKHH 3, people are expecting yet another mindless adult comedy, just for mere entertainment. And KKHH 3, despite its disgusting sexual innuendos, delivers what it’s expected to.

Although the opening day figures are not certain yet, Airlift still has a better chance of a bigger opening day at the box office, given that it has got a little higher screen count as compared to Kya Kool and also if it picks up in the evening shows, then it might just get unstoppable.
