It has turned out to be a disappointing start for Sarkar 3 at the Box Office. The film has collected a mere Rs 2.5 crore on its opening day and that is one of the lowest start of the year so far. It is not even in the Top-10 opening days in 2017, and that doesn't say much actually since the year so far has seen only five films see a double digit opening.

Day One of Sarkar 3 is less than even OK Jaanu [4.08 crore], Phillauri [4.02 crore] and Begum Jaan [3.04 crore] which tells the tale.

To recover from such a low start would be a big deal for Sarkar 3 since the reviews aren't too flattering either. There isn't much of a word of mouth to come out in support either since hardly many have even seen the film to actually form an opinion and share.

For Amitabh Bachchan too this is a major disappointment since the film has collected almost on the same lines as Te3n [2.61 crore] and that was a much smaller film. This isn't all, the film's numbers are lesser than even 2012 release Department [2.75 crore] which was the last time that Amitabh Bachchan and Ram Gopal Varma came together.

Now with Sarkar 3 bringing a close to the Sarkar franchise, one now waits to see whether the actor and director would be collaborating for a newer project soon enough.
