Box Office: Here's how much Sushant Singh Rajput's 'MS Dhoni' biopic might earn on Day 1!

Sushant Singh Rajput has been winning applause for his brilliant portrayal of captain cool in his biopic - MS Dhoni: The Untold Story. Neeraj Pandey has beautifully woven the different episodes of Dhoni's life in this 3 hour 10 minute film and we have nothing to complain. 

The buzz around the film is tremendous and it's also the second biggest release of the year so far. The Dhoni biopic has released across 3500 screens in India itself. Add another 1000-1100 screens abroad and it only falls short by a few hundred screens to Salman Khan's Sultan. 

Although the film doesn't have a superstar like Salman, the opening figures are expected to be massive. Distributor Akshaye Rathi says,. "I just watched the film. It's a stunner. People are enjoying the film - clapping, whistling and rejoicing. This film will make everyone relive the same enthusiasm and joy after we won the World Cup. It's a winner. I was always sure that this movie will do exceedingly well at the box office."

He added that predicting the day one figures is too early but he did add, "The figures will be Rs 20 crore plus for sure. The amount of euphoria is incredible and unimaginable. So nothing less than 20 crore for day one. But the estimates will come in post the 9pm show."
