Aamir Khan paved way for Indian film's release in China but now all eyes are on SS Rajamouli's 'Baahubali 2' which recently got released there.
After creating a storm across the globe, Baahubali 2 is trying hard to woo Chinese audience and has beaten the collections of Aamir Khan films '3 Idiots and 'Dhoom 3'. Both the film raked in $3 million at the ticket window when released in China but then piracy also affected '3 Idiots's business at theaters.
The magnum opus has turned out to be the biggest Indian blockbuster which has already done a business of 1777 crores. But Prabhas and Rana Dagubbati's film has failed to attract the Chinese audience in the cinema halls. The only brighter side of Baahubali 2 release in China is that the film has beaten '3 Idiots' and 'Dhoom 3' Featuring Prabhas, Rana Daggubati, Anushka Shetty, Tamannah Bhatia, Ramya Krishnan, Sathyaraj and Nassar in pivotal roles, the second film in the franchise in one of the most expensive films of the Indian cinema.
Unlike a dull response at Chinese box office, Baahubali 2 opened to a great response in Japanese market and celebrated 100 days at the box office. The film which is released in over 7000 screens in China had collected 63.19 crores in 5 days. Trade anaylyst Taran Adarsh gave details of Baahubali 2's struggle in box office.
