Bollywood stars positively react to Narendra Modi's victory

Congratulatory messages have been pouring in since Narendra Modi was appointed to be the Prime Minister of India.

Aishwarya Rai and Preity Zinta were the recent celebrities to congratulate Modi. Ash had expressed her happiness for Modi from the Cannes whereas Preity Zinta said she has always wanted Narendra Modi as the prime minister of the nation.

Here's what top film celebrities have been saying about Modi's win:

Rajnikant from the southern film industry said "Everyone knows that Narendra Modi is a strong leader and able administrator. He is my well wisher and I am his well wisher. I wish him all the best for his future. All the time God should be always with him. I pray God whenever he thinks, whatever he thinks should happen."  "Hearty Congratulations dear @narendramodi Ji on your historic win. Best wishes," he wrote on microblogging site Twitter.

Vivek Oberoi had voiced his support for NaMo and said, "I feel that the country needs Narendra Modi today. He is a vikas purush, he has proved his work in Gujarat. People are raising questions against him, but I think Modiji talks less and works more".

Kapil Sharma on the other hand had faced fans rage when he chose to retweet NaMo's post  that ridiculed Rahul Gandhi's allegations against him, Narendra Modi said the Congress leader's comical statements could soon force Kapil Sharma to end Comedy Nights With Kapil.  "The way Rahul Baba is making statements with a dash of comedy in them, I think the TV show of Kapil Sharma may soon have to shut shop," Modi wrote on Twitter.

Madhur Bhandarkar has been ardent Modi fan. He tweeted, "The wave has hit the shore! A young, sensible and vibrant India gives its verdict! Heartiest congratulations to Narendra Modi and his team. He had raised his voice against the anti-Modi slogans raised against Modi in Bollywood and said, “Let's hope better sense prevails and our film industry elects Narendra Modi with a thumping majority. It’s time India got a visionary leader. Launching a personal attack on a man who has done more for his state than any other leader, reeks of conspiracy and unwarranted paranoia.”

There were reports that the Fashion director was making a film on Modi's life.

Preity Zinta has said, "I'm Confident that India will prosper, be safe & develop like never before. History will mark this day in GOLD #Indiandreamshines." She feels that Narendra Modi is an able leader, “I don't campaign for any political party. Have not done it in the past knor will do it in the future. Hope it's clear to everyone once & for all. It's amazing how everyone is discussing Mr. Modi. After a long time there's such curiosity for one Man. Hope he can live upto all the expectations!"

Shah Rukh Khan too couldnt help but rave about Modi's victory. "What a solid mandate given by the people. It proves again that the only constant is change. Now to move forward with strong & active faith, India," he said.

Farhan Akhtar was one of the Bolly-celebs to tweet about the change in the politics of India. "New chapter in Indian politics begins today. Hoping for  5 years of positive growth and development of India and her people."

Lata Mangeshkar faced brickbats from Congress for praising Modi in public. Her sister Asha Bhosle was not far from showing her happiness when Modi clinched the historic victory. She had tweeted, "Congratulations to the BJP and sincere best wishes to Shri Narendra Modiji our next Prime Minister. Jai Hind. Finally a Prime Minister who speaks Hindi. Jai Hind."

Anupam Kher has double reasons to celebrate. He even congratulated Kirron kher for wining election from Chandigarh. "Achche Din Aa Gaye. Jai Ho." 

Modi's team is probably happy about the support from the Filmistan as there are reports that rajnikanth-lata-mangeshkar-and-amitabh-bachchan-to-his-swearing-in-ceremony-1991056">some of the above celebs are invite to his swearing-in. Modi can looked forward to some glam quotient in his ceremony.
