Ever since the news of Priyanka Chopra’s father, Dr Ashok Chopra’s death broke this afternoon, the actress' colleagues and friends have been offering their condolences on Twitter. Here are some of the messages:

Chopra, who was admitted to the hospital about 17 days ago, was undergoing cancer treatment for the past few years but this time he was at the terminal stage.
Chopra, a doctor, had retired from the Indian Army in 1997 as a lieutenant colonel. He is survived by his wife Madhu, also a former army doctor, daughter Priyanka and son Siddharth.
