Sonam Kapoor was in for a treat as she bagged two awards.
The 2015 Filmfare Style Awards was a grand event which took place at Taj Land's End in Mumbai on November 30.
During the event, Dilwale actor Shah Rukh Khan was awarded Global Icon of the Year award. While receiving the award Shah Rukh said that he felt really cool because Alia Bhatt and Sonam Kapoor gave him a standing ovation. The award was presented to him by the evergreen actress Rekha.
Deepika Padukone also made it to the list when she was awarded as the most glamorous star among the female actors in Bollywood. In fact, the Tamasha actress had to again come to the stage with Ranveer Singh to be awarded the most glamorous on-screen couple. The Gunday actor looked elated when he described his look for the awards, as he was also given the award of being the most stylish star among males.
The newcomers were not far behind as Varun Dhawan received the Emerging Face of Fashion Award at the Filmfare Glamour & Style Awards. Actor Sooraj Pancholi announced Varun's name in the Emerging Face of Fashion category and the Badlapur actor came on stage to receive it while thanking his fans for liking his fashion sense.
Known for setting trends with her style sense, Alia Bhatt was also awarded the Trendsetter of the Year award at the 2015 Filmfare Style Awards. The 22-year-old actress wore a black and white dress by Georges Chakra, which was complimented by Jimmy Choo pumps.
Meanwhile, actress Sonakshi Sinha, who had donned a red fish tail gown designed by Monisha Jaising, grabbed the Fashion Reinvention Award. Bollywood newbie Athiya Shetty also won the Fashion Debut of the Year award. The Hero star wore a black and gold gown designed by Amanda Wakeley for the event. Actor Suraj Pancholi was also awarded the Fashion Debut of the year (Males) for his stint in the film Hero.
Although Prem Ratan Dhan Payo actress Sonam Kapoor was in for a treat as she bagged two awards. It was a one plus one treat for Sonam Kapoor, who is known for her chic and classy fashion sense, as she won the Style and Substance Award and the title of Stylish Star at the 2015 Filmfare Style Awards. The 30-year-old actress wore an off-shoulder red gown designed by Michael Inco for the event.
Sonam received the first award herself, but her Stylish Star award was collected by Ranveer Singh on her behalf. Later, the Khoobsurat star took to her Instagram and shared a picture of herself with her girl pals Jacqueline Fernandez, Alia Bhatt and Athiya Shetty. Jacqueline was rewarded with the Emerging face of Fashion among females.
Known for her flawless beauty, Rekha was awarded the Timeless Glamour and Style Icon award. While receiving the award, the 61-year-old actress said,"I hope I live in hearts of my fans timelessly."
