Rapid Fire with Bohemia for rapping with Snoop Dogg on his latest album 'Pesa Nasha Pyar'

Why are you called Bohemia?
Bohemia describes my genre of music. I don't follow in anyone's footsteps.

Are you the Punjabi version of 50 Cent?
We rap about the same gangster rap, about the same issues – the only difference is that he expresses it in a different language.

Why is your album called 'Pesa Nasha Pyar'?
Money, getting high, and looking for love have been the issues surrounding my life. I have just used words, it's open to interpretation. I have used hip-hop which is hugely popular to articulate my lifestyle. I want to earn the respect our community deserves wherever we live.

Have you experienced racial discrimination?
Yes. A lot of things affected me. My music turned out to be very aggressive which was initially to vent my anger but eventually it got a huge response from people who were relating to my music.

Snoop Dogg features on your album. What was his reaction to your work?
He is a legendary artist who even Eminem looks up to and by featuring him on my album, he has given me the stamp of approval. He related to my tone and the self-expression. It's a great honour.
