Bob Dylan has criticised critics who have said unkind things on his career like he doesn't know how to sing or that he sounds like a frog.

The Make You Feel My Love singer lashed out on critics while accepting 'Person Of The Year' at a charity gala and said that critics say that he doesn't have tune, but this is his way of talking to people through his songs and it's better that critics concentrate upon people like Leonard Cohen and Lou Reed, BBC reported.

The American singing legend added to his speech that getting honoured for his songs makes him feel very proud as he has worked on them a lot and it took a lot from him to make such hits. The 73-year-old singer thanked many of the artists who have covered his songs over the years, like Nina Simone, Jimi Hendrix, Joan Baez and also Peter, Paul and Mary who recorded Blowin' in the Wind.

Tom Jones, Jack White, Beck, Sheryl Crow and Crosby, Stills and Nash performed covers of Dylan's work at the pre-Grammys event in Los Angeles.
