Two new, slick posters for Blade Runner 2049 starring Harrison Ford and Ryan Gosling were released on Thursday. The movie is a sequel to Ridley Scott's cult movie Blade Runner.
Directed by Denis Villeneuve of Arrival fame, the sequel picks up after 30 years of the events in the first movie. LAPD Officer K, played by Ryan Gosling, discovers a secret which threatens to destroy whatever is left of the society in the dystopian future. Upon discovery, he sets out the search for Rick Deckard, played by Harrison Ford, who has been AWOL for three decades.
The first poster shows Gosling walking in the mist searching for Deckard. Very calm frame with only the tail lights of the vehicle in neon red offsetting the contrast with the feel of calm before a storm. The second poster shows determined yet tired Ford in front of a giant, destroyed structure with a gun in his hand. It's a warm frame with the feel of a destructive past. Opposite composition of Gosling's poster.
