Bipasha Basu
Really? Now no peace on flights too?! I wouldn’t want that as it would disturb my most amazing sleep that I get on flights!

Kangana Ranaut
People are restricted and vulnerable up in the air. If they are claustrophobic and uncomfortable they can’t leave the place so such rules need to be thought thoroughly. If someone is talking in the aircraft it will disturb everyone. Mostly elderly people and babies like to sleep in the aircraft and I respect that, so I am sure I won’t talk on the phone while flying.

Ayushmann Khurrana
The only time we truly spend with ourselves is on the flight as we are without cellphones. I’d prefer no phones on flight. Passengers remain silent without the constant cacophony of phones and needless banter. Use of cellphones inside the aircraft would convert it into a fish market. All the in-house announcements too would become redundant.

Dino Morea
Well two things — first, if they are letting people use them, they obviously know that it won’t interfere with the system, so that’s not a threat. Secondly, the problem is that with so much chatter going on, when one is looking for those few hours of peace while flying, that won’t be possible to achieve.

Richa Chaddha
I don’t think it will affect anyone’s life except that flights will get a lot noisier.

Tusshar Kapoor
It’s good because the authorities must be aware that the air waves may not be harmful or interfering. Also, people now don’t need to stop working on flights.

Shekhar Kapoor

Oh no! It’s the only time I am undisturbed. Now everyone will be calling! Where do I hide?

Pooja Bedi
I look forward to sleeping on planes. I guess that would change.

Gautam Rode
It will be very annoying, no peace of mind as everyone would be on the phone.

Rensil d’Silva
They should ban cellphones on flights. It’s one those rare occasions one has the chance to switch off the damn thing.

Amole Gupte
Oh no! I am surrendering my phone this year.

Onir
Hope it’s not beyond the SMS. The idea of hours on a flight with people chatting and phones ringing is a nightmare.

Lilette Dubey

Phones on planes are a terrible idea! We have phones on planes for emergencies only.

Rajkummar Rao
That’s the only time we’re away from our phones and in our own space.

Naseeruddin Shah

It won’t affect my life. I seldom use it anyway.

Vishal Dadlani
Would we also be allowed to throw people off for shouting on phones? Ha ha.

Shiamak Davar
I find it too risky. Why risk our lives? Why have them on midair?

Pooja Bhatt

Cellphone on planes? Time to take the train.

Rakeysh  Mehra
It would be very noisy flights. Though I must say connectivity would get a new definition.

Ram Kapoor

I think that would make our lives a little more convenient.

Shabana Azmi
Satyanaash! The only place the ubiquitous cellphone is not attached to us at the hip and lip is on flight. Ab woh bhi gaya. It has its pluses. But for me, it will impinge on the space needed to introspect, analyse and process all the activities in our lives.
