The author of a new Bill Cosby biography has apologized for leaving details about the comedian's alleged sexual abuse out of his book 'Cosby: His Life and Times.'

Mark Whitaker took it to his Twitter account to say that he was wrong to not deal with the sexual assault charges against Cosby and pursue them more aggressively, the New York Post reported. Whitaker further wrote that he is following new developments and will address them at the appropriate time and added that if the stories are true, they are shocking and horrible.

Reports about Cosby resurfaced recently after a video of comedian Hannibal Buress calling Cosby a rapist went viral, with several additional women accusing Cosby of assaulting them.
