Bigg Boss has always courted controversies. From abusive language to extreme public display of affection, the show has had some sensational content, since it began. This season is no different. We’ve already seen an offensive war of words between Andy and Armaan Kohli while lovebirds Kushal Tandon and Gauahar Khan can’t seem to get enough of each other, literally.
Taking note of that probably, Information & Broadcasting Ministry has sent a notice to the channel.
Colors has confirmed that they have received a notice from the Ministry. A spokesperson from the channel says, “Today, we have received a show cause notice on Bigg Boss from the Ministry of Information & Broadcasting (I&B), and we shall submit our response to the same within the time limit prescribed by the ministry. As a responsible broadcaster, we are mindful of our audiences’ sentiments and respect the guidelines set by the I&B Ministry and BCCC.
Colors has a strict Standard & Practices (S&P) team, that does self-regulations, which works closely with the programming team on all aspects to ensure a safe family viewing experience. Last year, the format of Bigg Boss was changed to make it more parivarik (suitable for family viewing). The casting of the show has been done accordingly this year as well...” However, following the notice, it remains to be seen if the channel will be forced to change the timing of the show from 9 pm to late night.
