Bigg Boss 8 : Upen Patel gets eliminated in surprise mid-week eviction

Salman Khan had cleared the logic of the elimination process on Monday's episode explaining that although there were no evictions last week, the same nominated contestants would be up for eviction this time. What he did not reveal was that there would be surprise mid-week evictions this week which took place yesterday night inside the Bigg Boss 8 house. 

In a surprising turn of events, Upen Patel has been shown the door this week. The super model turned actor who entered the house with a calm and composed demeanour was seen losing his temper on petty issues in the past two weeks. From heated arguments to bizarre fights, Upen somehow had turned a little too psychotic. Audiences seemed to have taken notice of the fact and decided to chuck him out of the contest. But nevertheless, Upen has shown a true sportsman spirit especially the way he has always handled the luxury budget tasks inside the house.

Also in the news for his intimacy with house-mate Sonali Raut, the two soon drifted apart after Upen realised Sonali was merely using him to stay on the show. Very recently, there had been news of Upen and Karishma being more than just friends but Upen has quashed all such speculations when Ajaz Khan informed him about the same. 

After Upen's exit, all the housemates are nominated for eviction. There are currently seven contestants left inside the house- Gautam Gulati, Karishma Tanna, Puneet Issar, Sonali Raut, Ali Quli Mirza, Dimpy Ganguly Mahajan and Pritam Singh. Two will be evicted this weekend leaving behind the top 5 BB8 contestants who would be competing with the former BB contestants for the new spin off series- Bigg Boss Halla Bol- that goes on air post this week
