Bengali TV actor Ronnie Chakraborty found dead in mysterious circumstances

A television actor was today found dead under mysterious cirumstances in a pond near his home in the city, police said. Actor Ronnie Chakroborty's body was recovered from a waterbody near his residence at Santoshpur in the southern part of the city early today.

His family said he returned home at about 1 AM today and went for a bath in the nearby pond. "The body has been sent for postmortem. We have launched an investigation into the case," a senior official of Kolkata police said.
In another incident, a first year student of a renowned educational institute, who was from Patna, today died after falling from the sixth floor of his hostel.

According to a senior police official, the body was sent for postmortem and investigation initiated. "We are looking into all aspects from the angles of suicide, accident, murder. We are waiting for the postmortem report," the official said.
