After working in Arjun Reddy, Vijay Deverakonda came to be known as Arjun Reddy even in real life. The actor is now at a stage in life where he is producing films and introducing new talents.

While unveiling the trailer of his first production film Meeku Maathrame Cheptha, Vijay Deverakonda invited Mahesh Babu as the guest of honour. Interestingly enough, it was Mahesh Babu only who inspired Vijay Deverakonda to become an actor in the first place.

At the trailer launch, Vijay revealed that realization struck upon him when he watched Mahesh Babu's Pokiri in theatres. “I wanted to show this trailer to Mahesh Babu. Because it is very well known that Mahesh is my favourite actor. Watching Pokiri was one important point in my life. When I saw the film for the first time in a theatre, I could not hear a single dialogue due to all the screaming and celebration of the fans. I had to watch the film again to understand it. Then, I was like ‘this is it, man?’ This is what I want in my life,” said Deverakonda at the launch.

Interestingly Vijay is also working with Pokiri director Puri Jagannadh next. Stating the same, he added, “I am really happy that he watched the trailer and he launched it. I am also happy that my next film is with Pokiri director Puri Jagannadh. It is a big moment in my life. All these big things coming together.”
