Finally, Barfi! and Heroine have found takers on TV. The satellite rights of both the films along with Himmatwala, Kai Po Che, Race 2Luv Shuv Tey Chicken Khurana, Arjun and ABCD have been sold to ZEE.

The seven-year deal has been signed between two networks ZEE and UTV Movies. However, Amrita Pandey, executive director — Syndication, International Distribution — Disney UTV refuses to comment on the price. “All the premiere rights plus select runs rests with Zee while UTV Movies will have multiple runs.


We will plan the schedule together,” she says. The deal has been signed just a week before the theatrical release of Himmatwala. Jayantilal Gada, CMD Pen Media confirms the deal. As for which movie will be aired first, and whether it will be premiered on ZEE TV or ZEE Cinema, he says it will differ from film to film. “We are yet to take a call on that,” he says.
