Actor Neil Nitin Mukesh has just returned from Fiji, the picturesque island that is turning out to be one of sought-after destinations for Bollywood film shoots. The actor, who was stationed there for a month-and-a-half has just returned to Mumbai, but will soon be going to Canada for the shoot of his next film, Bejoy Nambiar’s David.

Giving company to Neil in Fiji was younger brother Naman and his co-star Sonal Chauhan. The duo, who had been rumoured to be seeing each other hasn’t spoken about their friendship at all. A source close to Neil says, “Though the schedule was packed, it was a great unit as everyone on the sets was like one, big happy family. The location too was beautiful and that added to the vibe on the sets. Though the premise of the film is supernatural, the atmosphere on the sets was chilled out. Neil and Sonal bonded quite a bit as did the entire unit. And since they were pretty much cut off from everyone as there wasn’t any network, the unit had a good time among themselves.”

The source also reveals that there was no awkwardness between the two as they seemed quite comfortable in each other’s company. “Sonal and Neil are fun loving people and clearly, the link-up rumours haven’t affected them as they were at ease with each other. Neil was slightly upset for a couple of days as he lost his phone whilst shooting there,” the source says.

Now that Neil and Sonal are back after shooting for about 90 percent of the film, the actor’s schedule is choc-a-bloc with his upcoming projects. Talking about it Neil says, "I have been away for 45 days in Fiji. I missed my parents so much but since my brother was there with me, we would chat with my parents and family over Skype at times. Ninety percent of the film is complete and so far, it has turned out really well. I am very excited about this film. Now I have a little bit of work on Shortcut Romeo left after which I move to Bejoy’s film David. That will be shot in Ooty and Canada. I am very fond of Bejoy’s work and I am looking forward to beginning work on the film.”
