Trust Salman Khan to always do things differently. And 2015 will see Salman shy away from his usual super-heroic side to a more nuanced one. After setting an excellent example with Bajrangi Bhaijaan, Salman has moved on to Sooraj Barjatya's Prem Ratan Dhan Payo. And now, we have an interesting piece of news coming your way!
Unlike the usual practice, Salman and Sooraj have decided to revive the old school formula in films by launching PRDP's music before the film's theatrical trailer. Says a source, "Salman and Sooraj are very confident about the film's music and it's not the usual tadka but a very soft and melodious album. Salman feels the music will take time to grow on people and has decided to unveil the music first."
This would be a one-of-a-kind marketing strategy used in Bollywood in recent times. At a time when the trailer is the first promo to be launched, Salman has defied the usual stereotype and decided to bring in a new trend. At the Hero concert too, Salman gave a hint of the same. Talking about Hero's music, Salman told media, "We made a mistake. We should have released the music of Hero much earlier. It would have become a bigger craze and would have helped in the film's promotions as well."
This comes right after Akshay Kumar decided to launch Tung Tung as the first look promo of his upcoming Singh is Bliing. But Salman seems to have taken the entire thing to an altogether new level.
Our source reveals, "The album will hit forums by September 17-18 as planned. The team is planning to host a gala event for the same too." The trailer of the film will be attached to Singh is Bliing that releases on October 2 but the theatrical trailer will be launched two days prior to that, on September 30.
