Indian filmmakers have always toyed with two or three hero subjects, which have more often than not reaped rich dividends at the BO. Who can forget the warring brothers of Deewar played by Shashi Kapoor and Amitabh Bachchan or the goofballs of Andaz Apna Apna essayed by Aamir and Salman Khan. Dil Chahta Hai starring Aamir Khan, Saif Ali Khan and Akshay Khanna remains a cult film when it comes to male bonding and friendship.

Rock On!! revolving around a rock band comprising Farhan Akhtar, Arjun Rampal and Purab Kohli too depicted men bonding big time. Talking of bromance, Abhishek Bachchan and John Abraham made for a cute fake gay couple in Dostana.

In the recent past, Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara saw the leading men connecting with each other against scenic backdrops as they take a road trip.

The recently released Brothers may have elicited mixed reviews but one can't ignore the on-screen chemistry between Akshay Kumar and Sidharth Malhotra. Let's see what our actors and filmmakers have to say about their fav onscreen bromances.

Nimrat Kaur
Hrithik Roshan, Farhan Akhtar and Abhay Deol in Zoya Akhtar's Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

Rajkummar Rao
My own bromance with Sushant Singh Rajput and Amit Sadh in Kai Po Che. That apart, Aamir Khan, Siddharth, Kunal Kapor and Madhavan in Rang De Basanti, Robert de Niro-Joe Pesci in Raging Bull."

Pulkit Samrat
Saif, Akshay and Aamir in Dil Chahta Hai. Hrithik, Farhan and Abhay in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.

Taapsee Pannu
Shah Rukh and Saif in Kal Ho Na Ho.

Ronit Roy
Amitji and Dharamji in Sholay. More recently Ranveer Singh and Arjun Kapoor in Gunday.

Anees Bazmee
Amitji and Shashi Kapoorji in Deewaar, Salman Khan and Mohnish Behl in Hum Aapke Hain Koun..!

Sajid Khan
Amitabh Bachchan and Shashi Kapoor in Silsila.

Poonam Pandey
Salman Khan and Shah Rukh Khan in Karan Arjun.

Vir Das
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara. The three characters made you believe they were old friends.

Gurmeet Choudhary
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara is the ultimate 'bond' flick. And Hrithik, Farhan and Abhay represented the essence of friendship. It showed three friends as brothers who can live their lives together, not once but even dobara. These are the kind of friends who get the best out of you. After this film I understood the importance of friendship in our lives.

Tusshar Kapoor
My Dad (Jeetendra) and Shatrughan Sinha Saab in Khudgarz. Bromance was shown in many films. But Khudgarz was the first film about friendship.

Ram Kapoor
Mr Bachchan and Dharamji in Sholay.

Sophie Choudry
My favourite bromance has to be Dostana. John Abraham and Abhishek Bachchan have the most amazing comic timing and chemistry. Their mutual comfort level was commendable.

Prabhudheva
My favourite bromance is CV Sridhar's Pyar Kiye Jaa. The bonding between Om Prakashji and Mehmood Saab was incredible.

Aditya Narayan
Aamir Khan and Salman Khan in Andaz Apna Apna. No other bromance comes close .I am a huge fan of the comedy genre.I also enjoyed Paul Rudd and Jason Segel's brom-com in I Love You, Man."

Arjun Rampal
Dil Chahta Hai…. And then my own Rock On!!
