A lot of cricketers have tried their luck on the big screen after they retired from the sport but for the first time an international cricketer will be seen trying his luck in Bollywood. Australian pacer, Brett Lee will soon be seen in an Indo-Australian romantic comedy titled UnIndian. The 37-year-old cricketer, who retired in 2012, has been juggling cricket commentary, business, charity and his music band.

A source reveals, "Brett has always been getting film offers but he wanted to concentrate on his sport. He was very passionate about cricket and did not want to distract himself so he stayed away from the big screen. After he announced his retirement, he has been spending a lot of time in India and that was when Anupam Sharma, an Indian origin-director, and author from Australia approached Brett with the script. He liked the idea and gave his nod. He will be seen opposite actress Tannishtha Chatterjee in this romantic comedy."

To make his first film even more special, a special Holi sequence was incorporated in the film. "This was the first time the Australian was celebrating this Indian festival and thoroughly enjoyed himself. He was ecstatic and was seen painted in different hues of colours. He was also inquisitive about the rituals and traditions and everyone on the sets was more than glad to explain the history to him," the source adds.
