His stylish villain act in Jayam Raja's Thani Oruvan had everyone raving about him and now he will be seen in a Hindi film. Arvind Swami is starring as Nitin Swaminathan, the father of a 14-year-old in the movie Dad.

But the actor has plans to more than just act. He recently revealed to media that he is all set to don the director's hat, he also said that he has written two scripts! Arvind Swami told media that he will wield the megaphone in a year's time and was not sure now whether he would direct the film in Tamil or Hindi.

Arvind Swami came to films thanks to Mani Ratnam's Thalapathi in 1991 but he has been in and out of cinema since then. Following the success of Thani Oruvan, the actor is reprising the same role in Telugu for the Ram Charan-starrer. He will also be seen in another movie Bhogan where he plays a sage.

When asked about why he decided to get back into films now, the actor said that the changing audience was encouraging. Since the audience today likes different ideas and new type of films, he decided to give it a shot. And the options before him are pretty good too.
