Anusha Dandekar turns mentor for online beauty show

A new internet-based reality show is bringing together budding models with blog enthusiasts. Beauty & the Blogger, a concept by apparel brand American Swan and FameBox network, will see eight young models from across India team with popular bloggers who will compete to win. The finalists will ultimately be selected based on the social media presence they create. Hosted by Cyrus Sahukar, the show has mentors like Anusha Dandekar and MissMalini who will coach the aspirants. "Having an online show is the perfect way to reach out to the youth. Most people have busy schedules and with this format they can watch the show even on the go," explains Anusha who's in charge of the models.

Her role is mainly to get the women more comfortable with themselves. "As a model, it's important to have the correct body language. Also, they should not put on fake accents or try to be someone they are not. I think it's essential for their personality to come out through the show. As for grooming tips, I think personal hygiene should be the focus. Models need to be regular with their manicures/pedicures, hair removal etc," she explains. The multi-round show will have the bloggers posting live updates, models undergoing a rigorous grooming session followed by the grand finale where aside from other prizes, the winning model will be declared face of American Swan and the blogger its social media brand ambassador.
