Anukreethy Vas, a 19-year-old college student from Tamil Nadu, has been crowned fbb Colors Femina Miss India 2018
Anukreethy Vas, a Tamil Nadu college student, was crowned Femina Miss India 2018 by Miss World 2017 Manushi Chhillar on June 19 in a grand ceremony at NSCI Dome in Mumbai. The 19-year-old beat 30 contestants to bag the coveted title in front of a judges panel that included cricketers Irfan Pathan and KL Rahul and Bollywood actors like Malaika Arora, Bobby Deol, Kunal Kapoor and noted journalist Faye D’Souza.
Anukreethy is now all set to represent India at Miss World 2018. But, before she does that let's tell you what all do we know about her so far -
- All the state winners were assigned to one leader and Anukreethy was mentored by Telugu film industry superstar Rakul Preet Singh, who was incharge of the South zone. Rakul played a huge role in training and guiding Anukreethy.
- She was previously crowned Femina Miss Tamil Nadu and Rajnigandha Pearls Miss Beautiful Smile.
- Anukreethy is raised by a single mother and has grown up with an idea, “Nothing can dim the light that shines from within.”
"I've seen all her struggles throughout my life to give wings to my dreams and she was being blamed for all my mistakes so I want everyone to praise her for my win. My mother will surely be proud of me and my achievements," she had earlier told India Times.
- The young girl completed her schooling from RSK Higher Secondary School and is an alumni of Loyola college.
- She is fulfilling her mother’s dream by pursuing a BA in French to become a translator.
- She harbours a desire to learn different languages from across the world to increase her intellect.
- She is a great dancer and a state level athlete. She loves riding bikes as well.
- Anukreethy aspires to become a supermodel in the future and loves to be in front of the camera.
"Modelling has always been on my mind and I am working hard towards it. Looking into each and every aspect that mainly includes fitness as it is the road to success. My aspiration to become a super model is true and I am looking forward to it," she said.

"...I love to be in front the camera and I respect the person behind the camera if I get a chance I'd love to work with Atul Kasbekar."
- Anukreethy was always sure of wearing the crown. She has acting aspirations, too.
"I see myself as Miss World 2018 and a well established actress! I started modelling because I wanted a platform to share my ideas on the dais and spread a word about it. My passion and my goals will surely bring light into my career that is into making," she had earlier told the website.
- She wishes to enlighten the youth to pursue their dreams and help them find a purpose in life.
- Her favourite life qoute is, "The best preparation for tomorrow is doing your best today. So be the best version of yourself everyday."
