Another CLASH: It's Shah Rukh Khan VS Akshay Kumar at the box office AGAIN, here's why!

Akshay Kumar and Bhoomi Pednekar starrer Toilet - Ek Prem Katha will now be released on August 11. This means that the film will be clashing with Shah Rukh Khan and Anushka Sharma starrer Imtiaz Ali film allegedly titled Rehnuma, which is slated to hit the theatres on the same date. 

Akshay's Toilet - Ek Prem Katha was to release in June earlier and his next with Neeraj Pandey titled Crack was supposed to clash with SRK's film. But Crack has now been put on hold owing to the delay in kickstarting the project. 

Now this also means that Shah Rukh's second release this year will also face a box office clash. Earlier this year, his Raees clashed against Hrithik Roshan's Kaabil and now, the Imtiaz Ali film is to clash with Akshay's next release. While SRK's Raees had an upper hadn over Hrithik's Kaabil in January, the scenario may not be the same for Rehnuma and Toils - Ek Prem Katha.

While Akshay's films are known to cater to the masses and Imtiaz's films are known to be favourites among a niche audience, it will be interesting to see what August 11 has in store for both the films.
