Shraddha Kapoor's husband role in 'Haseena' to be played by Ankur Bhatia

Apparently, Apoorva Lakhia liked his work in 'Sarbjit' and that's how he was picked for the role of Ibrahim.

Ankur Bhatia who portrayed Aishwarya Rai Bachchan's husband in the biopic Sarbjit, is all set to play Shraddha Kapoor's husband, Ibrahim in the upcoming flick Haseena.

Apoorva Lakhia's Haseena, which is also a biopic, is based on the life of Dawood Ibrahim's sister Haseena Parkar.

Talking about his role, the New York based actor said that he's super excited to work with Shraddha and thinks that she's an immensely talented actress, reports The Indian Express.

Ankur was further quoted saying, "I’ve been longing to work with Apoorva Lakhia and I’m so glad he gave me the opportunity.”

According to reports doing the rounds, the actor first met Apoorva Lakhia at a film festival in New York where Shootout At Lokhandwala was screened and kept in touch since then. Apparently, the director liked his work in Sarbjit and that's how he was picked for the role of Ibrahim.
