Music director Anirudh overcomes his fear of horror films for Hrishikesh's 'Rum'

Talented music director Anirudh has just signed his first horror flick. After having made a name for himself in Kollywood with a string of successes including VIP, Vedhalam and Naanum Rowdy Thaan, he is now gearing up for a new genre.

The puja for the film, titled Rum, took place in Chennai on Monday. The film stars Anirudh's cousin Hrishikesh.

Anirudh made an announcement about the film on his Twitter page. He also revealed why he had never scored music for a horror film before.

The young music director also stated that he has never watched horror flicks in his life. It looks like that is all set to change with his new film.
