Anil Kapoor recently got into trouble over his promotional stunt for his upcoming show 24, when he travelled by a suburban local. The Western Railway sent a notice to the event management company behind the shoot seeking an explanation as to why Anil was travelling on the footboard. They felt that Anil leaning out of the train could inspire youngsters to perform similar stunts. While that could be true, here we give you instances in films where actors have not only leaned out, but even danced on top of moving trains.

Chhaiya Chhaiya song in Dil Se
Shah Rukh Khan and Malaika Arora Khan danced to Chaiyya Chaiyya on the top of a moving train in Dil Se. Interestingly, they had planned to shoot the song at the Ooty railway station but didn’t get the permission. So they decided to shoot on the roof of the train moving from Ooty to Coonoor! It had to run at a speed of 40 km per hour for it to be stable. Not only was the song a charbuster, the choreography by Farah Khan was lauded for its novelty.

Dhadak Dhadak song in Bunty Aur Babli
In this song that is woven around train beats, Abhishek Bachchan and Rani Mukerji are not only seen catching a running train, coolly leaning out of the door, but also prancing in front of the train.

Climax scene in Dilwale Dulhaniya Le Jayenge
Who can forget the climax scene of this iconic film where Kajol runs towards Shah Rukh Khan who is leaning out of the door of a moving train with his hand held out. At the last minute Kajol catches his hand and jumps into the train. That stunt despite the inherent danger became so famous it was replicated in several movies and SRK himself did it in subsequent films like RA.One and Chennai Express. In fact in the former, he is also seen jumping from one moving train to another one.

Hrithik Roshan did one of the most thrilling and adventurous action sequences on top of a speeding train to conduct a robbery. Though he was the anti-hero he walked away with all the claps and whistles for his stunts
