Actor Anil Kapoor may not have hopped on the flaunt-your-six-pack bandwagon, but he is easily one of the fittest actors in B-Town.
The key, says Anil, is living a happy and a healthy lifestyle. And not just actor Salman Khan, but Anil too swears by cycling as the perfect workout. In fact, the actor is still known to go cycling early in the mornings and often to his sets too, with his entourage following him in the car. “Cycling is not just a perfect workout, but it’s great fun too,” says Anil. “But it’s nearly impossible to ride a cycle in the traffic or pollution, so I often ride early in the mornings,” reveals the actor.
Cycling apart, the actor is a firm believer in maintaining a positive outlook in life, no matter what the circumstances. “The moment you fall prey to negativity, you invite stress in your life and consequently this affects both your mental well-being as well as physical,” insists the actor. Though he does admit that the pressures of a daily hectic life can get to you, the mantra to adopt is simple. “Set your priorities right in life and try and look at the positive side of life,” adds Anil.
“I think adopting a healthy lifestyle, like staying away from excessive alcohol, go a long way in staying fit. You don’t have to starve yourself, but keep a check on your eating habits and, most of all, don’t take your body or health for granted. Both need to be nurtured right,” elaborates the actor.
Anil also insists that rooting out the causes of negativity is essential. “It’s not bad to be ambitious, but worrying about competition is futile and asking for stress. I have always lived by one thumb rule, which is just concentrate on your work — that’s it.
I never let insecurities creep in or competition affect me, simply because I am focussed on my work. I don’t worry about manipulating things or people. I work honestly and sleep happy and well at the end of the day,” adds the star.
