An award for Raveena Tandon

Raveena Tandon is on cloud nine. She and her film Shobana 7 Nights have won a special recognition award at the Jaipur International Festival, recently.

The film has already been done the international rounds and been screened at varius festivals. Raveena even won the best actress award at the Indian film festival in Houston.

Next it is all set to go to the Islamic International Film Festival in Los Angeles. An elated Raveena says, “I am very happy and excited that this film has been gaining recognition and being awarded at international film festivals, first Chicago, then Houston and now at the Jaipur International Film Festival.”

The film, however, is yet to release in India. Says Raveena, “When Sudiptoda (director Sudipto Chattopadhyay) first met me he told me that this film will be doing the rounds of film festivals and won’t be commercial like my other films. I readily agreed to do it, and I am happy that the hard work is paying off.”
