American actress Amy Poehler is worried that her upcoming film Sisters is being released at the same time as the JJ Abrams-directed Star Wars: The Force Awakens.

Sisters also stars Tina Fey. Poehler is sceptical about the film's money-making prospects, reported Femalefirst.

"We're coming out against a little indie film called Star Wars. Made by a first-time director, I'd love everybody to give him a chance - week two - and week one go see Sisters."

The 44-year-old actress also confessed she endured a tough time growing up in the 80s.

"I was a late bloomer which I would recommend to anybody. That's a tough thing when you get most popular, it's all down hill from there."
